As the title says I was killing some char in prophecies when this shield dropped.
It was blue didn't think much of it ID it and to my amazement it had no req attribute just an armour rating of 7 with mods which are not perfect to say the lease but me being me, a bit curious wondered I did a few searches but I don't think I understand how to search as I came back with results from 2005,2007 saying something about req7's dropping no more.

So my main question is this merchant fodder or something special ?

I don't think you understand what i was trying to say it does not have a primary att of str,mot,com,tact just an ar of 7

The thing is even if you don't meet the requirement for a shield u still get HALF of the shields armour value. So u can still get 8 armour from any max (Armour 16) shield.

Okay, so an unconditional armour of 7 is worth less, but a attribute of strength or command or motivation or even tactics at req 8 ar 16 is better because you get 1 extra armour ?

Req7's not dropping any more is referring to a shield with the following stats:

Armor 16 (Requires 7 Strength/Tactics)

A shield like yours with no requirement can drop as high as Armor 8.

So no, unfortunately yours is worthless.

P.S. I'd like to suggest that you stop using Comic Sans and just use the regular forum font. Comic Sans is a terrible font to read, thanks.

You get 8 armor from any (dropped) shield if you don't meet the requirement.

So you could get a req9 armor 14 shield. If you don't meet its requirement, you still get 8 armor from it.

Okay then I found my info I was looking for and sorry if the font is horrible its just that the font is easy for me to see with my dyslexia and my blue screen.
